New Research Guide: Using eBooks at UNC

January 18, 2023

Check out the Law Library’s new research guide: Using eBooks at UNC!

With the proliferation of eBook platforms available for research and study, there are many different ways to identify eBooks and different access rules for each platform. The legal study aid platforms are particularly varied in terms of viewing books, utilizing apps, and navigating special features.

This research guide provides a basic introduction to eBooks and an overview of how to search the library catalog for eBooks. The guide includes eBook platform pages organized by Law Library subscriptions, UNC Libraries subscriptions, and free services.

Each platform page discusses the scope of eBook content available, access instructions, keyword & browsing navigation options, and special features. Some pages also include video tutorials for extra demonstration and instruction.

The guide was created by Asst. Director for Public Services Nicole Downing and Public Services Assistant Hagen Mendrykowski. Are we missing any platforms or special features? Let us know!
