Reference librarians are available to meet with UNC students who are working on research projects and papers in order to help students develop a research plan. Typical research consultations last half an hour. Students complete the registration form indicating their research needs, and reference librarians are prepared at the appointment to discuss specific databases and resources that will be useful for that particular topic. Librarians can provide a written document to remind students of the resources and strategies discussed during the appointment.
All UNC students can make an appointment with the Law Library’s reference librarians, assuming their research projects are on a legal topic. In order to request a research appointment, please complete this appointment request form. You will generally receive an email back regarding scheduling within 24 hours or on the next business day.
