New Law Library Research Guide: Preparing for the Bar Exam
November 15, 2018
The Kathrine R. Everett Law Library recently published a new online research guide, Preparing for the Bar Exam. Even for the most relaxed of law students, the Bar Exam can be daunting. In addition to taking the exam, there are requirements that must be completed months in advance.
This guide is divided into five sections:
- General Information from the NCBE and NCBLE : provides an overview of the guide and where students can register to sit for the Bar, find state specific deadlines, and find where to register for the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE).
- Bar Exam Application Resources: offers suggested timelines for how to obtain accompanying Bar application materials, such as transcripts, birth records, and driving records.
- Bar Exam Preparation and Support Services: identifies resources which include programs and courses offered at UNC Law and past Uniform Bar Exams the Law Library holds.
- Test-Taking Strategies and Wellness Resources: suggests UNC Law Library materials helpful to prepare oneself and tips on practicing self-care while preparing for the Bar Exam.
- Studying at the UNC Law Library: specific to UNC Law students, this section clarifies students’ study options, how to access library resources and materials, and summer parking on-campus parking options.
In addition to this guide, the Law Library also offers several supplemental resources that may be helpful along this journey.
