Requesting Materials
The Law Library accepts written requests for photocopies from prisoners in the North Carolina prison system and in federal prisons within North Carolina. Staff will determine if the library has the material and notify the prisoner of the cost. Money orders are the only acceptable payment for photocopy service.
The process for requesting materials from the Law Library is as follows:
- Send us a list of materials you want copied. Please include the citation to a specific title/book and page number.
- We will send you the specific cost of those materials. The cost is typically $0.25 per page ($5.00 minimum).
- When you send us a money order for the exact amount of pages you want, we will copy them and mail them to you.
- Never send us money in advance. We are unable to track balances.
Inquiries may be addressed to: Interlibrary Loan Services, Kathrine R. Everett Law Library, CB#3385, Chapel Hill, NC 27599.
