Get Ready for the MPRE with the Law Library’s Resources

February 25, 2019

For 2Ls and 3Ls who have taken professional responsibility, the March Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is right around the corner! Whether it’s your first or your fifth time tackling the exam, the Law Library has some resources to help you prepare.

If you’re looking for online study aids to test out your skills, the law library’s online subscription to West Study Aids includes an entire section dedicated to materials on professional responsibility. From A Short & Happy Guide to the MPRE to Exam Pro On Professional Responsibility, a variety of options are available to help you prep.

If online study aids are not for you, the Law Library also has access to some print titles in the collection that are not available online. Take a look at:

  • Strategies and Tactics for the MPRE: Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam by Alex Ruskell | KF306 .R868 2018.
  • Professional Responsibility: Examples and Explanations by Bradley W. Wendell | KF306 .W46 2016.
  • The Weekend MPRE: A Complete Preparation for the MPRE in Only a Weekend’s Time by Leah Christensen | KF303 .C457 2016.

In addition to these resources, several Bar Prep vendors offer free MPRE lectures and practice questions on their websites. It’s never too early to start thinking about the Bar Exam, so this is a good way to preview a vendor’s offerings without the cost. Barbri, Themis, and Kaplan all offer a free MPRE review, so try one (or more!) of these services out to get review and learn which vendor you prefer.

To learn more about the requirements for the jurisdiction where you plan to take the MPRE or to register, visit the National Conference of Board Examiners website for further information.
