New Book: Impeachment: What Everyone Needs to Know

December 14, 2018

UNC law professor Michael J. Gerhardt published a new book in 2018: Impeachment: What Everyone Needs to Know. Given the current attention paid to the subject of impeachment, Prof. Gerhardt’s book must count among the most well-timed volumes in Oxford University Press’ “What Everyone Needs to Know” series.

Like all books in that Oxford series, Impeachment is written in a question-and-answer format and covers dozens of issues related to impeachment, such as “What does the term ‘impeachment’ mean?,” “How many presidents have been impeached?,” “Must an impeachable offense have a connection to an official’s office or duties?,” and “How does the Twenty-fifth Amendment work?” For anyone looking at a broad range of questions related to the topic, or at a narrow area they want more clarity on, Prof. Gerhardt’s book is an excellent resource.
