New Foreign Law Content in Lexis
January 23, 2017
Now that the phase-in of Lexis Advance is complete, the research service has added some foreign law primary sources to its collection.
Like other commercial research services, Lexis offers access primarily to the law of countries that are significant trade partners of the United States. For instance, there is extensive case law coverage for Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Selected cases are available for South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Ireland and Mexico.
In addition, the company offers access to cases of the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
Databases of legislation are available for South Africa, China & Hong Kong, Malaysia, Russia, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the European Union.
All of the foreign law materials can be accessed via the International tab under the main search bar. As always, dates of coverage are located in the information note for each database.
