New Databases on Bloomberg Law

January 17, 2017

Bloomberg Law has added new databases: Government Accountability Office Appropriations Decisions and jury instructions for California, Kansas, and Alabama. (North Carolina Pattern Jury Instructions are available for free at the following UNC School of Government website: https://www.sog.unc.edu/resources/microsites/north-carolina-pattern-jury-instructions/pattern-jury-instructions-online-library .)

GAO Appropriations Decisions can be found on Bloomberg Law by clicking on the Legislative & Regulatory tab, then selecting U.S. Congress in the U.S. Legislative sources list, then clicking on Government Accountability Office > Decisions > Appropriations Law Decisions. A FAQ that provides information about GAO Appropriations Decisions can be found on the GAO’s website: http://www.gao.gov/legal/appropriations-law-decisions/faqs .

All of Bloomberg Law’s federal and state jury instructions (including the three new state jury instruction databases) can be found by clicking on the Search & Browse tab, then clicking on All Legal Content, then selecting U.S. Courts from the U.S. Law content type, then clicking on Jury Instructions, after which you can select either Federal or State Jury Instructions. State jury instructions can sometimes be difficult to find. Bloomberg Law is providing a useful resource by continuing to expand its list of state jury instructions. If you have questions about these databases, please see one of the reference librarians in the law library.
