The library maintains a small collection of permanent reserve materials, including West's Hornbook, Concise Hornbook and Nutshell series, the "Examples and Explanations" titles from Aspen Publishing, and the "Understanding the Law" series from Lexis, as well as selected basic treatises. The reserve collection also includes major treatises on North Carolina law.
Faculty may place materials on course reserve by notifying Denise Thompson, Day Circulation Manager & Administration Assistant (919-962-2295 ordthompso@email.unc.edu). Please specify author, title, and edition for each item, as well as the course name/number. Personal copies of books or photocopies may also be placed on reserve; these will be returned to the faculty member at the end of the semester. Please allow 48 hours for processing reserve materials in order to make certain that they are available in time for course assignments.
Note: Electronic access to articles and cases is provided through the UNC Blackboard service. Assistance is available through the School of Law IT office.
