Course Reserves

Reserves

The Law Library maintains a reserve collection, available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. Reserve items may be checked out for 4 hours.

The reserve collection includes the following study aids and basic guides:

  • Hornbooks, concise hornbooks, and nutshells from West publishing Company
  • "Examples and Explanations" series by Aspen Publishing Company
  • "Understanding the Law" series by Lexis Publishing

The reserve collection also includes basic guides to legal research and standard treatises on North Carolina law.

Other reserve materials available at the Circulation Desk include audio CD's of the Sum and Substance series, documentary DVDs, and unbound periodicals.

Course Reserves

Faculty may also place specific books on reserve for individual courses. Assigned articles and cases are made available through blackboard.

Popular Movies and Games

For relaxation, the library also has a collection of popular movies (DVD and VHS), and a small collection of board games donated by the Student Bar Association.
