Reference Librarians are happy to meet with students who are working on research projects and papers in order to help students develop a research plan. Typical research appointments last half an hour. Students complete the registration form indicating their research needs, and reference librarians are prepared at the appointment to discuss specific databases and resources that will be useful for that particular topic. Librarians will provide a written document to remind students of the different databases and resources discussed during the appointment and that will reflect the research strategies discussed.

All UNC students can make appointments with the law library's reference librarians, assuming their research projects are on a legal topic. In order to request a research appointment please complete this appointment request form. You will generally receive an email back regarding scheduling within 24 hours, or on the next business day.

For additional information, please contact the Assistant Director for Public Services, Leslie Street, at lastreet@email.unc.edu or 919-843-4959.
