Training Reference librarians provide personalized assistance for faculty research assistants through the Library Liaison program. The library offers research assistant orientation classes at the beginning of the fall semester and in the summer. Please see the Research Classes/Training page for more information. Library Cards Research Assistant Library Cards are separate borrower's cards issued to authorized Research Assistants in the faculty member's name. Materials will receive the same loan as a regular faculty loan. Research Assistants can check out non-circulating law materials and other restricted items. Faculty are subject to fines (according to the policy of the lending library) and will be responsible for all charges accrued. Both the Faculty member and the Research Assistant will receive overdue notices, pickup notices, and bills for items checked out on this card, with the RA's name attached. To obtain a Research Assistant Library Card complete the Research Assistant Authorization Form and return it to Stacey Byrd in the Circulation Department. Faculty may choose to obtain materials from other libraries through their RAs or through the FIND Service. Printing and Copy Services Printing and Copy Services are available to Research Assistants through Faculty and Administrative Services located on the fifth floor of the Law School in room 5125. RAs may print for free on the designated computers in the RA cubicle, and free copy services are available in the faculty suite with an appropriate copy code.
