Services to Users with Disabilities

Retrieval of Materials
If you need any assistance in obtaining materials from within the library, please ask at the circulation desk, on the fourth floor (main level). The circulation staff will retrieve materials from anywhere within the library for users with disabilities. If materials are needed quickly, requests should be made Monday - Thursday between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, or Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 PM or by prior arrangement with circulation staff (919)-962-1191.

Photocopying
The library photocopiers are located on the second, third and fourth levels. The circulation staff will make photocopies of library materials for patrons who cannot use the photocopiers. Copies are made at the patron's expense. Copy cards are available for purchase in the library. The circulation staff will also make paper copies of items available on microfiche or microfilm; the standard charge applies to these copies.

If materials are needed quickly, requests should be made Monday - Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 PM, or by prior arrangement with circulation staff (919)-962-1191.

Elevator
There is an elevator for the use of disabled patrons.

Student Studying Space
Disabled students may request a permanent study area on the fourth floor. Please contact Scott Childs at (919) 962-1605.

Special Needs
The library staff will try to accommodate the special needs of all users with disabilities. If you have a specific need that is not addressed here, contact Scott Childs, Assistant Director for Research and User Services (919) 962-1605, or Dorothy Grant, Circulation Supervisor (919) 962-1191
