Law Library Website Mission

The Kathrine R. Everett Law Library supports the education of Carolina Law students, acts as a research partner with faculty and students, and serves the legal information needs of University students and faculty, the legal community, and the residents of North Carolina.

To that end the mission of the Law Library's Web page is:

  • To serve as an entry point to the online catalog, digital collections, and legal research materials emphasizing North Carolina legal materials.
  • To provide ready access to information about the library including hours, library policies, collection information, and staff directory.
  • To publish Law Library bibliographies, pathfinders, and research guides, new acquisitions lists, and the like.
  • To extend online services such as the faculty liaison services to UNC-Chapel Hill Law Faculty and Students.
  • To update users on current issues relating to law, the Law School, and the Law Library.
  • To facilitate communication between the patrons and the Law Library by providing "Ask a Law Librarian," an online "Suggestion Box," etc.
